On December 2, 2014, PMU-USTH in collaboration with the Architecture
design competition manager (Phase Eins, Germany) organized the Jury
meeting on international architecture design competition for University
of Science and Technology of Hanoi with the participation of
representative from the Asian Development Bank, the French Embassy, the
Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Education and Training (Department
of School Facilities and Equipment, Department of Finance, Ministry
Office, Department of International cooperation), the Hoa Lac High-tech
park Management board, the USTH and the University Implementation Unit
(UIU).
The objective of the meeting was to rank the architecture design
submitted by the 06 shortlisted consultants for "Architects and
Engineering Consultant" package and to select the architecture design
for the USTH. The jury was composed of 09 international members and
chaired by Mr. Bui Van Ga, Deputy Minister of Education and Training.
After studying and discussing on each of the entries, the jury agreed on
the first-ranked design and the ranking for all 06 design entries for
USTH campus. This will serve as a basis for the PMU-USTH to choose the
Architects and Engineering Consultant at international standards, in
line with the education and research needs of lecturers and students of
USTH in the future.
